Pin Erase and related tools ( Modeling )

  Invoking Pin Erase :

Method 1 : Click the icon. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Model -- Member ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).

Method 2 : If " Modeling layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Model > Member > Pins > Pin Erase .

Method 3, 4 or 5 : Pin Erase can also be configured to be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the lightning interface, this configuration is done using Customize Interface .

   Ways to erase pins :

Method 1 : Set the selection filter to ' Member ends ' and select the member ends that you don't want to be pinned to anything. For example, to select the member ends, you can draw an area box . After the member ends are selected, press the Delete key. Press " Yes " on the confirmation dialog that opens.

Method 2 : Invoke Pin Erase then select member pins then press the Enter key to signal that you are done selecting.

All of the above-listed methods result in the selected member ends not being pinned to anything.
